Wärtsilä started its operations in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of United Arab Emirates in the year 1992. Later when Dubai was transforming as a major business hub of the region, Wärtsilä moved it's base to Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1997 as Wärtsilä Gulf FZE. In the later years, with a view to cater to our local customers Wärtsilä established it's Limited Liability Company as Wärtsilä LLC and opened several offices in various locations in Dubai. But due to the rapidly growing market and to meet the demands of our customers, we have moved to the new premises in Dubai Investment Park-2 on 22nd April 2008 with a state-of-the-art workshop.
The new workshop premises enable Wärtsilä to offer a wide range of services for engines, ships, automation, propellers, thrusters, alignment and in-situ machining. It enables Wärtsilä to handle larger work in terms of dimensions and weight, and using the latest tools and other maintenance equipment. Wärtsilä in United Arab Emirates is having a highly qualified technical team which is into activities like selling, engineering and constructing power plants and propulsion systems for ships in the Middle East.
